Georgia State University Oboe Studio
About Us
The GSU Oboe Studio is a closely-knit group of driven oboists. Students have the opportunity to perform in monthly studio classes, student recitals, new music recitals, band and orchestra concerts, and chamber recitals. Reedmaking classes are held once a week, as well one hour private lessons with Dr. Dahl. The studio enjoys frequent guest artist masterclasses and has hosted renowned oboists such as Nancy Ambrose King, Humbert Lucarelli, Martin Schuring, and Joseph Robinson.
The School of Music offers oboists a variety of concentrations: performance, education, composition, management and technology. Please click on the link below for more information about the GSU School of Music.

Please Contact Us if you would like to arrange a Panther for a Day campus visit. You will be able to shadow an oboist for the day and attend classes, have a lesson, and play in or observe a Symphonic Wind Ensemble rehearsal.
